 Best for extremely curly hair February 25, 2010
I have extremely curly hair that I have spent probably 15+ years trying different salon products to get soft but controlled curls. I have been solely using this product for probably 3 years now, so I couldn't even tell you where I first tried it. All I can say is I hope they never discontinue it because I would be crushed. Gel was too much, mousse was not enough. This was PERFECT. It is a creme product, so it adds much needed moisture to my hair. You do need to make sure it is thoroughly worked in, as one reviewer mentioned if it clumps in a spot it does flake. I don't have this continous problem but I am betting it is something to do with hair type. There isn't a straight strand on my head, so it's harder to get noticable product buildup. This keeps the body curly hair needs and does not weigh it down like gel does. LOVE LOVE LOVE- if you have curls that you don't know what to do with, try this. You won't look back.

I started using (and still do - alternating, not in combination with Curls Rock) Moroccan Oil Intense Curl Cream, but branched off and tried Catwalk Curls Rock. My friend gave me a week's worth sample to try. I have naturally curly hair that needs lots of product (most do). This product smells nice, goes on smoothly and dries beautifully. My curls are defined and bouncy. I don't even feel like I have product in my hair. I use this in combination with the Curls Rock Booster - a must have! Good luck to all of my fellow curly heads!

Works great, not too sticky, but on the thick side. I use it when I blow dry my hair. Don't use it everyday though.
Great Product--Just a Little Is Great For Curly Hair December 4, 2009
I have short, curly grey hair. It is also fine in texture but thick. This product is absolutely wonderful for my hair. I just put a small amount in my hand and rub it into my hair. I don't even use a blow dryer. I let it air dry and the curl is a lot more pronounced in my hair when it dries than it is without this product. This makes my hair very easy to manage and control. I don't need to do another thing after shampooing other than lightly towel dry, add this product and then let my hair dry the rest of the way in the air. It takes me a long time to go through this so I really can't complain about the price.

When my favorite product was discontinued, I picked this up at a garage sale. I have hair that would just be frizzy if I did not use this stuff. And this holds up even in the rainy climate in which I live.
Everyone should experiment with the best way to use this product. I have finally learned to put about 3 small pumps on the last layer of my hair - the ends - the most frizzy, right after a short towel drying. Then I wait about 15 minutes and apply a bit more to the rest of my hair. I have to use a lot of this stuff, as my hair is rather long and is colored, which means that those dry, frizzy ends really soak it up.
I don't wash my hair every day, but if I spray water on it, the product works as well as it did the day before.
The only downside is that I don't have the shine I would like, but I may try an additional TIGI product for that....
