I have fine coarse hair and this is the first product that has left my hair moisturized and shiny. I use this product before flat ironing.

I have coarse, mostly straight hair which on its own flips in unwanted directions and stubbornly stays that way, which is why I use a flat iron to get a more sleek look. I've been using a cheap flat iron and no serum for years, with not-so-great results, and so I finally decided to invest a little in my hair care. One week ago, I purchased a Sedu revolution ceramic tourmaline flat iron, and, based on on-line recommendations, the CHI Silk Infusion. I don't know for sure which product did it, but the combination of the new flat iron and the CHI Silk Infusion is phenomenal. My coarse hair is now smooth and light and silky, it has enough weight but is not too heavy or greasy-looking. My only complaint about the Silk Infusion is its scent - it really smells like cheap soap or cheap cologne. The scent stays in my hair for 8+ hours. I probably will experiment with similar better-smelling hair products, however my limited experience with other hair sera is that they leave your hair looking greasy and feeling heavy, in which case I will stick with CHI, and perhaps invest in some scented spray to cover up the unfortunate scent.

Awesome product, a little goes a long way. I use this every time I wash my hair - leaves it frizz free, silky, and smelling great. I don't know why I didn't know about this sooner!

I was introduced to this product by a good friend of mine. I was having dry hair problems and NOTHING was working. She gave me a few ounces of it to try for a week. I noticed an imporvment in ONE day! I will always use this product to keep my hair healthy shiny and non frizzy.

If you look at the ingredients is is so very very close, but the color and smell makes all the difference. I am white and my hair is a mix of gold red and brown it is and long; I have used Biosilk for almost 15 years and I LOVE IT!!Brings color back to my hair! I was given three bottels of this stuff and tried it out. The smell... NOT for me! and it made me head itch like crazy it drove me nuts all day! as soon as I got home I washed it out. And it had left my hair greesy, BioSilk has never ever ever done that.
